At the end of the year, there is something that is a matter of course for us: looking back. The annual review has become a real tradition on the Hotelcore blog – and we will continue with this tradition. Together with our customers, partners and the entire team, we look back on a year full of product developments, exciting trade fair appearances, and above all, measurable successes. Because in the end, it’s not what we build that counts, but what our customers achieve with it.

2025 was guided by our favorite motto: digital, but personal. Because that’s what it’s all about: less paperwork, fewer routine questions, fewer “Can you quickly…?” and more time for real encounters in the workplace. This year, we have once again summarised what our customers have achieved.

Our product world and the most popular new features in 2025
The year has shown us once again that digital tools are most powerful when they fit into everyday life. That’s why we think of our product world as an ecosystem: guest information, communication, upselling and team organisation work together seamlessly. All products are smartly networked with each other, so that content can be created once and used multiple times, and you can either use them all together or combine them modularly. Always with the goal in mind: more service, more guest satisfaction, more relief, more digital upselling, and more time for genuine hospitality. A win-win for guests and hosts!
To give you a quick overview, we present our products one by one below and show you the most popular features of our customers from 2025.
Digital Guest Directory and Hotel App
With the Digital Guest Directory, we seamlessly accompany guests before, during and after their stay. Automated processes, such as pre-check-in thanks to PMS integration, as well as all relevant information about the stay, communication and bookable services are available anytime, anywhere at the touch of a finger. This provides orientation for guests, makes additional services easy to book and noticeably reduces the workload for employees in their daily work. In addition to numerous UI and UX improvements, three new features in particular are proving especially popular with our customers and their guests in 2025:

AI chatbot
The AI chatbot acts as a smart, digital assistant that is available 24/7. As an additional “digital employee”, it answers standard questions, communicates with guests in real time and noticeably reduces the workload for the team. Especially during peak times or outside reception hours.
Save favourites
With the favorites function, guests can save excursion tips, routes, events, or activities directly in the Digital Guest Directory. This allows them to quickly find content at any time and tailor their stay to their individual needs.


Branding of the Digital Guest Direcroy
More brand presence for hotels: the Digital Guest Directory can now be designed with your own colours and individual logo – not only in the hotel app in the Signature tariff, but also in the Digital Guest Directory in the Premium tariff. This ensures greater recognition, visibility, and a consistent brand experience.
The Info Channel: information where guests really look
The Info Channel displays information exactly where guests see it: at reception, in the lobby, in the spa or in the restaurant. Instead of printing and regularly replacing notices, content is displayed digitally, up-to-date, in multiple languages and in a visually appealing way. This saves time, reduces paper consumption and at the same time creates additional space for offers and notices.
New design & display rules
In addition to further UI and UX optimisations, a feature requested by many customers went live in 2025: flexible display rules. Content can now be controlled specifically by display date, duration, or repetitions for more predictability, structure and efficiency in everyday life.


Info Channel easily accessible via Smart TV app
And on top of that, the information channel can now be easily operated via a Smart TV app on Samsung Hospitality TVs without additional hardware. This enables seamless integration that delights guests and hoteliers alike.
Hotel Newspaper
The Hotel Newspaper as a source of inspiration for your guests: weather, excursion tips, highlights and offers – perfect for breakfast reading. It works as an e-paper and can also be printed on request. The result: guests feel informed and valued and discover your bookable additional services.
Larger data pool
An even larger data pool supports the creation of the daily morning post and makes the content even more relevant, up-to-date and varied.

More productive than ever with the Hotelboard
The Hotelboard supports the work behind the scenes: tasks, handovers, responsibilities and internal information are bundled centrally in one place. This means less work is left undone, departments work better together and teams gain structure – especially in shift operations or during peak times.
A major advantage: all chats, enquiries and bookings from the Digital Guest Directory are automatically sent to the Hotelboard. Tasks can be assigned directly and processed without delay. It couldn’t be more efficient.

The highlight of 2025:
Hotelboard Welcome is now available free of charge to all Digital Guest Directory customers. Guest enquiries can be centrally bundled, answered and coordinated within the team – at no additional cost.
Partnerships, PMS and software interfaces
Finally, numerous new interfaces will be launched in 2025. A big thank you to all our partners who have accompanied us this year – whether hotel software, content, technology or sales partners.

Outlook for 2026: Anticipation is the greatest joy
For many hosts, Christmas and New Year’s Eve are the busiest times of the year: full houses, lots of questions and high expectations. That’s exactly why we’re already looking ahead. While it’s peak season for business, we’re already working on 2026 behind the scenes.
New features are in the pipeline, trade fair stands and events are being prepared, and exciting new partnerships are taking shape. Our goal remains unchanged: to continue to ease your daily workload so that digital processes in the background create space for what really matters: genuine hospitality.
